Meet the Makers Support

Giving Back with Every Sip and Smoke

The Meet the Makers team believe that true craftsmanship isn’t just about creating exceptional whisky and cigars—it’s about making a difference. That’s why, as we celebrate Robert Graham’s 150th anniversary and the partnership with Tor Imports, we’re raising a glass (and a flame) to causes close to our hearts. From supporting local communities to backing charities that resonate with our customers and team, we’re committed to turning our passion for quality into positive change. This isn’t just about celebration; it’s about contribution. Let’s make every moment count.

Fe y Alegría is a movement of Integral Popular Education and Social Promotion, firmly committed to making the human right to quality education possible for children, adolescents, and young people from the most impoverished sectors of the country. They provide opportunities for early childhood, primary, secondary, and technical education; training for teachers; and support the improvement of educational conditions.

Fe y Alegría Nicaragua directly and indirectly benefits more than 56,000 people, of whom more than 16,000 are children and adolescents who they serve through a network of 22 own educational centres nationwide and 107 associated and community centres, where they provide opportunities for early childhood, primary, secondary, and technical education; training for teachers; and support the improvement of educational conditions. Through programs of alternative and non-formal education, and social promotion and community development services, they work hand in hand with MAPAS (parents), young people, and community leaders.

Fe y Alegría Nicaragua has a network of 22  educational centres distributed across 9 municipalities in Nicaragua. Additionally, it supports training processes aimed at teachers and students from 105 associated and community centres belonging to the Catholic Church, located in Managua, Estelí, Boaco, the North Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region, and the South Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region.

We are engaging and supporting one of their schools, specifically “Escuela Belén” located in Estelí.

Lothian Children's Deaf Club: Empowering Young Voices

The Lothian Children’s Deaf Club is more than just a community—it’s a lifeline for deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families across the Lothians. Their mission is to create a space where children can connect, learn, and thrive in an environment that celebrates their unique identities. Through fun activities, educational support, and a network of understanding peers, they empower these young voices to be heard, fostering confidence and a strong sense of belonging. Every child deserves to be part of a community that truly listens, and at Lothian Children’s Deaf Club, they’re all ears.

In response to the Lothian Paediatric Audiology failures in Dec 2021 (in which 155 children out of a 5% sample were found to have been misdiagnosed hearing when they were deaf), families of affected children came together to campaign for support.

In Jan 2023 Lothian Children’s Deaf Club was started, a monthly club where deaf children and their families get together for peer support, BSL learning (essential in combatting effects of language deprivation), and accessible activities. Families don’t have to have been affected by misdiagnosis to come, we have deaf parents of hearing kids come along and newly diagnosed deaf children between 0-12 years old.
