Glencadam is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced at the Glencadam Distillery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland. Established in 1825, the distillery has a rich history and is known for its traditional production methods that have remained largely unchanged for nearly two centuries.
The distillery's unique stills feature lyne arms that run at an upwards angle, encouraging significant reflux. This design contributes to the whisky's distinctive character, often described as having tropical and orchard fruit flavours.
Glencadam's range includes age-statement whiskies such as 10, 13, 15, 18, and 25 years old, all bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and without added coloring to preserve their natural characteristics.
In 2003, Angus Dundee Distillers acquired Glencadam, revitalising the distillery and expanding its offerings. The distillery has since introduced various expressions, including cask finishes like the Reserva PX and Reserva de Jerez.
As Glencadam approaches its 200th anniversary in 2025, the distillery is investing in a new state-of-the-art visitor center, aiming to share its rich heritage and craftsmanship with whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
